Not much to say here...just playing with different color clays and slip trailing to produce some different patterns on platters. One item of note, For a Peace themed show at Strolling Village Artisans I pressed into the "Fearless " platter a poem written by a good friend of mine, Sarah Hille. I reprint that poem here:
Inside of this moment, Just a moment ago, I sat without fear, And ate a slice of life,
Without judgment, Seeing no sin, In the life passing, Through and about me, In its fullness,
Complete
If ever I could pass this moment, This one peace-riddled moment, To a friend in dire need,
Or a passerby on the street, Or the World Regimes, In their highest hour,
Of desperation
If only I could reclaim, This moment, In all its completeness, Upon demand, Whenever
fear tripped, Into a party-filled room, And leapt into my martini, Eating my olive whole,
Pimento first
Imagine this moment, Turning itself into a day, Stretching and toning, Its taut,
life-filled muscles, Till they spilled over, Dribbling down our chins, And we giggled like,
Children of God
